Can you speak a little bit about where you grew up and how that place shaped you?

I grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country of mixed cultures and nationalities. A country where the sense of community is particularly intensive, regardless of its recent history. Growing up in a country righteously called the melting pot of cultures in the Balkans made me appreciate diversity and everything it stands for. The ambiance of such a particular mixture made us naturally gravitate towards each other, despite our differences, and profoundly influenced me and my professional development.

You’re a trained Communication Expert. Can you talk about your educational steps and exploring that professional path?

My journey to communications and promotion was something that happened gradually. Initially, I studied Turkish and Arabic language and shifted later to English and French language and literature. As an interpreter, I had the opportunity to learn from many international and local experts and knowledgeable individuals.

Gradually I took a keen interest in PR and Communications as I found myself most comfortable in that field. Creating media content and reaching out to the public came naturally, and I started exploring more and more other aspects of media outreach and social networks.

How would you describe your current work to people who don’t know you?

I ensure that the project I am involved with is presented and understood by the stakeholders and the public. I ensure the flow of information is maintained, and all project aspects are recognized and agreed upon. Additionally, recently I have been working more on sustainability aspects of our project solutions and assisting in finding solutions and proposing measures to improve sustainability where needed.

It is the country's responsibility to continue the work commenced by some initiative and/or project, and I assist in identifying gaps and propose the action to overcome them.

How do you view your own personal development? What are you looking to explore or master?

Visibility is a significant segment of my work. It is an instant link that connects us with end users, and I wish to explore it more. At this point, I want to expand my knowledge of creative processes regarding visibility aspects. Animation is the area most appealing to me, and I would like to try myself in this field of expertise.

Also, I am delighted when I write publications linked to the projects that I am involved in. It would be ideal for me to combine these two interests to create quality educational content.
